Figurative Bust Sculptures
Love Always Wins
Air-dry clay, wood, paint
Base: 11" x 10"
Busts: 3" x 2" x 3.5"
Artist's Statement: This pair of sculptures reflects the concept that love will always overcome fear. This is represented by the ocean wave that will inevitably put out the flames of hate. The bust on the left is seen with hearts in her hair and a heart mouth that speaks only kindness. An expressive third eye is shining from her forehead to represent her open mind to the Divine. The bust on the right is seen with a head of snake hairs and a snake tongue that curses the world with her words. Devil horns rest on her forehead to emphasize her evil while a blindfold causes the ignorance of her unkindness.
